Dual purpose: Patrol and Narcotics or Patrol and Explosive
Fully trained dual service patrol K-9's. We can train for patrol and any one or more of the following:

The most cost effective program for Law Enforcement. This training consists of Hands on Training for your dual service law enforcement K-9 and Handler for 4-5 weeks at the state-of-the-art Iron Heart training facility in the Kansas City metro area. When you send your police dog handler to our Midwest training center he or she will be teamed with their new Dual Service Law Enforcement Dog.
The dual service law enforcement dog handler will then be taught the following handling techniques and procedures and how to work effectively with the dual service police dog by our trainers at our Kansas training center:

- Tracking
- Remote Training Collar
- Building Searches
- Area Searches
- Evidence Recovery
- Control in Bite Work Training

The dual service law enforcement canine with drug detection is trained to detect the following narcotics:
- Marijuana
- Hashish
- Powder Cocaine
- Crack Cocaine
- Heroin
- Methamphetamine
Dual service police dog handlers must take a written test to maintain their knowledge of the above topics. Dual service law enforcement dog handlers and canines must also pass the hands on certification test at our Kansas City area facility.
The three breeds of canines we offer for dual service in patrol and detection are:
- German Shepherd
- Belgian Malinois
- Dutch Shepherd
If you have a different dog breed in mind for dual service in patrol and detection we will train it as long as it can pass the selection test process.
We have made special arrangements with a local Kansas City area hotel to provide accommodations for your officers while training at Iron Heart's Midwest dog training center.
